I came originaly came to the Galapagos to volunteer for three months...these are the communities I gave free English lessons to.
This is a group in the highlands. They were very happy to get their certificates at the end, signed by the non-profit organization I was working with and my good friend the Mayor.
This is the Salasaca group I worked with. They are an indigenous group from the main land Ecuador. They were sent here by the government when no one wanted to live in the Galapagos. They speak Quichua as well as Spanish.
