Una isla hermosa y bien tranquila.
And only two hours away by boat from Puerto Ayora.
The view from my room. I worked one weekend in the bar and restaurant downstairs in exchange for food and room. I love the way things work down here.

Volunteering
I came originaly came to the Galapagos to volunteer for three months...these are the communities I gave free English lessons to.
This is a group in the highlands. They were very happy to get their certificates at the end, signed by the non-profit organization I was working with and my good friend the Mayor.
This is the Salasaca group I worked with. They are an indigenous group from the main land Ecuador. They were sent here by the government when no one wanted to live in the Galapagos. They speak Quichua as well as Spanish.
*Notice the cases of empty beer holding up the white board......
